The winners of the Victorian Sustainability Awards have been announced

The winners of the twentieth Premier’s Sustainability Awards had been introduced by The Hon Lily D’Ambrosio, Secretary of State for Setting and Local weather Safety, at a ceremony in Melbourne on September 20.

The 12 Victorian winners included mushroom packaging, the conversion of a degraded grass forest right into a functioning ecosystem, a group retail retailer and clear power options.

Premier Daniel Andrews personally chosen the winners of the 2 total awards – Premier’s Recognition Award was offered to Fungi Options and Premier’s Regional Recognition Award to Euroa Arboretum.

This 12 months’s Premier’s Sustainability Awards had been collectively offered by Sustainability Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Authorities along with the Banksia Basis and Preserve Australia Lovely Victoria.

Matt Genever, Sustainability Victoria interim CEO, stated this 12 months’s entries showcased the sheer breadth of labor being carried out within the area of sustainability and congratulated all winners on their great achievements.

There are two winners for every of the six classes, up to date in 2021 to align with the United Nations Sustainable Growth Objectives. The Group Champion Award acknowledges people and small organizations, and the Business Chief Award celebrates medium and huge organizations which can be driving a sustainable future.

Premier’s Sustainability Awards Group Champion winners have a path to the nationwide Preserve Australia Lovely Awards program and all winners are eligible for the Nationwide Banksia Sustainability Awards.
