Drones used to find physique

Drone operators helped police find the physique of a person who drowned Sunday within the South Thompson River close to Chase.
In line with an RCMP information launch, police obtained a report of a person lacking on the river at about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
“The male was kayaking when he fell into the river,” Chase RCMP Sgt. Barry Kennedy stated.
“An in depth search was performed all through the night by Shuswap Search and Rescue, the Adams Lake Fireplace Division and group members.”
Kennedy stated the search continued on Monday with the assistance of an RCMP helicopter, Parks Canada employees and a number of other drone operators.
“Mid-afternoon, drone operators captured photos of a physique in roughly 10 toes of water,” he stated.
“Search and rescue performed the restoration.”
Kennedy stated the physique was situated about two kilometres west of Chase.
Investigators don’t suspect foul play was concerned within the man’s dying.
