Cat lovers tonight is your night even if you don't love cats but you love hilarious videos about cats CHS field in st. Paul associating the 2017 cat video festival Kiley is live with a preview of tonight's event and this thing was crazy last year what eleven thousand people or so oh yeah I mean people go wild about this you don't want to mess with cat.
People and their videos we've got Thom here with us this morning from CHS field good morning good morning how are you doing great especially because this is maybe one of the most exciting nights of the year it is a lot of fun there tell me a little bit of how it works everyone gets down on the field they're just watching cat videos yeah yeah we open.
The gates at 6:00 we have music at Perkins they'll be playing from about 7:00 to 8:00 that's just perfect right and then 8 o'clock we do the reel and that goes about an hour or so and everybody everybody's down on the field chilling out blankets and all that sort of stuff it's a lot of fun tell me a little about the crowd I mean.
Sounds a little different than maybe your typical st. Paul Saints crowd yes quite a bit it's fun for us to do because yeah it's definitely a different crowd it's not a baseball crowd it's cat crowd which three years in we're still trying to figure out what that is but oh yeah no it's good and everybody's has a lot of fun it's all cats people have.
Like cat ears on and cattails and all that but it's it's cool it is really cool and I know that Jason was giving you a little bit of flack on Twitter because you weren't dressed in your cat outfit but you have the shirt now I found well you found the shirt it looks so great this is fun the one thing that people that you can't bring because you.
Know you can't rest up you can come you can have the food you can have the beer can't bring your cat yeah I know what we're working on that we have a dog day so maybe we'll have a cat day I think it'd be great although we worry about the litter box situation man that is a concern don't tell the groundskeeper we won't tell them that.
But what is it about this night that you guys you enjoy having out on the field well it's it's always fun for folks to go out on the field but like you said this is a it's a chance for us to open up CHS field to a crowd that otherwise might not come down here so it's cool and you know it's in lower town great neighborhood and folks will still have.
The same fun they do for a baseball game it's just they're here for cats why not the videos of selves we're talking about you know Disney Productions or anything I like I could have made one of these that you can find a lot of them on the Internet yeah and they but it's kind of fun they set it to music and put a reel together.
And all that so they just are watching with uh people who love cats too and we're we were talking because we love cats but we are not necessarily cat people if you're saying that there's almost like inside jokes that you don't get when your watch yeah totally like I mean you'll watch it for ten minutes and it'll look like the same.
Video then all of a sudden you know 12,000 people bust up laughing and it's like what I miss that's fantastic okay tickets are ten bucks and unfortunately that does go to help others Katzen and yeah animal rescue wonderful yeah okay Tom for a fake thanks for getting up early with us you're going to have a fun night we know.
That they love it Jason I did get you a shirt so we're gonna bring it back to so good you can come to the cat video festival and be ready to go yeah that's perfect yeah ears do though you've gotta wear the ears what Tom and I I think shares similar feelings about cats so we can both sit together and be confused as to.
